He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and in awe of God 9 you ignore him. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
