Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
