۞ And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him, 51 Recall, when he said to his father and his people: "What are these images to which you are devoutly clinging?" 52 They replied: "We found our fathers worshipping them." 53 He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error. 54 They asked: "Hast thou come unto us [with this claim] in all earnest - or art thou one of those jesters?" 55 He said: Nay! your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who brought them into existence, and I am of those who bear witness to this: 56 And by Allah I shall surely devise a plot against your idols after ye turned away backward. 57 And then he broke those [idols] to pieces, [all] save the biggest of them, so that they might [be able to] turn to it. 58 They said, “Who has done this to our Gods? He is indeed cruel!” 59 They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham." 60 They said: "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may testify." 61 They said, “Did you do this to our Gods, O Ibrahim?” 62 He answered, "Rather this biggest one of them did it. Ask them, if they can speak." 63 Then they turned to one another and said, "It is you yourselves who are in the wrong," 64 Then crestfallen (they confessed): "Truly, as you know, they cannot speak." 65 He said: worship ye, then, beside Allah, that which profiteth you not at all, nor it hurteth you? 66 Fie upon you and upon that which ye worship beside Allah! Will ye not then reflect? 67 They said: "Burn him, and come to the support of your gods, if you are going to do anything." 68 [But] We said: O fire! Be thou cool, and [a source of] inner peace for Abraham!" 69 And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. 70 And We rescued him and Lout (Lot) to the land which We have blessed for the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 71 And We bestowed upon him Isaac, and Jacob as a grandson. Each of them We made righteous. 72 And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms, and they were worshippers of Us (alone). 73 To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge and delivered him from the city which practiced abomination. They were indeed a wicked people. 74 We encompassed him in Our mercy; he was a righteous man. 75

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
