The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 And shade extended 30 And water gushing, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And exalted thrones. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
