▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
