Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
