Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
