Whatever misfortune befalls you is of your own doing, God forgives much, 30 And you cannot escape in the earth, and you shall not have a guardian or a helper besides Allah. 31 And of His Signs are the ships that sail in the sea like mountains. 32 Had He wanted, He could have stopped the wind and let the ships remain motionless on the surface of the sea, in this there is evidence (of the Truth) for all those who are patient and grateful, 33 or He could have destroyed them as punishment for the human being's deeds. However, God pardons many sins. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely 36 And (for) those who avoid cardinal sins and indecencies, and forgive (even) when they are angry. 37 who respond to their Lord and attend to their prayers; who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation and spend out of what We have provided for them; 38 and when harmed they become victorious. 39 and the recompense of evil is evil the like of it; but whoso pardons and puts things right, his wage falls upon God; surely He loves not the evildoers. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 blame attaches but to those who oppress [other] people and behave outrageously on earth, offending against all right: for them there is grievous suffering in store! 42 And whoever is patient and forgiving, these most surely are actions due to courage. 43
