And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
