The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or orders piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
