Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
