No! By the moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning unto men, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
