By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
