Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
