Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
