۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
