Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
