He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and in awe [of God] 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And grapes and clover, 28 Olives and dates, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
