The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
