The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
