The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
