And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
