Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
