The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 and he belied the finest 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
