Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
