The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
