Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
