The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
