▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
