Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
