Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
