Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 Then the Thamud were destroyed by an awesome upheaval; 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Do you now see any trace of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 on that Day, the Event occurs. 15 The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 In a lofty Garden – 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 and neither known this my account! 26 Would that it (my death) had ended it all! 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 Then cast him to be burnt in Hell; 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
