So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
