It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 (They are) dead, lifeless, and they know not when they will be raised up. 21
