The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and drowned the others. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
