Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
