Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
