Believers, remember God often. 41 Glorify Him morning and evening. 42 It is He Who lavishes His blessings on you and His angels invoke blessings on you that He may lead you out of darkness into light. He is Most Compassionate to the believers. 43 Their salutation on the Day they meet Him will be "Peace!"; and He has prepared for them a generous Reward. 44 O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings, and to bear warning; 45 And as one inviting to Allah by His permission, and as a light-giving torch. 46 And bear thou unto the believers the glad tidings that theirs is from Allah a great grace. 47 And obey not the unbelievers and the hypocrites; heed not their hurt, but put thy trust in God; God suffices as a guardian. 48 O People who Believe! If you marry Muslim women and divorce them without having touched them, so for you there is no waiting period for the women, which you may count; therefore give them some benefit and release them with a proper release. 49 Prophet, We have made lawful for you your wives whom you have given their dowry, slave girls whom God has given to you as gifts, the daughters of your uncles and aunts, both paternal and maternal, who have migrated with you. The believing woman, who has offered herself to the Prophet and whom the Prophet may want to marry, will be specially for him, not for other believers. We knew what to make obligatory for them concerning their wives and slave girls so that you would face no hardship (because we have given distinction to you over the believers). God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 50 ۞ You, [O Muhammad], may put aside whom you will of them or take to yourself whom you will. And any that you desire of those [wives] from whom you had [temporarily] separated - there is no blame upon you [in returning her]. That is more suitable that they should be content and not grieve and that they should be satisfied with what you have given them - all of them. And Allah knows what is in your hearts. And ever is Allah Knowing and Forbearing. 51 Thereafter women will not be lawful for you, and it will not be lawful for you to take other wives in place of them, even though their beauty might please you, unless they be those whom your right hand owns. Allah is watchful over everything. 52
