Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
