Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, 1 and removed your burden 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And raised high for you your repute. 4 And behold, with every hardship comes ease: 5 verily, with every hardship comes ease! 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
