The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
