We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone and you will not be blamed. 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
