Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
