Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
