Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the morning brightness, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
