O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast. 153 And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. 154 And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, 155 when a misfortune comes to them, they say, "We are Allah's and we shall certainly return to Him,'' 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ [Hence,] behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two: for, if one does more good than he is bound to do - behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing. 158 Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too). 159 except those who repent, and mend (their deeds) and clarify. Those I shall accept them. I am the Receiver of repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 Under it they shall remain forever; their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be granted respite. 162 Your Allah is One Allah; there is no Allah save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful. 163
