The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
