Whatever misfortune befalls you is of your own doing, God forgives much, 30 You cannot frustrate Him in the earth; you have no protector nor helper against Allah. 31 And of His portents are the ships, like banners on the sea; 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 Or He can ruin them due to peoples’ sins and He can forgive a great deal. 34 And those who dispute (polytheists, etc. with Our Messenger Muhammad SAW) as regards Our Ayat (proofs, signs, verses, etc. of Islamic Monotheism) may know that there is no place of refuge for them (from Allah's punishment). 35 Whatever you have received is just a means of enjoyment for this life but the reward of God for the believers and those who trust in their Lord will be better and everlasting. 36 Who avoid the deadly sins, immoral acts, and forgive when they are angered, 37 who obey their Lord and establish Prayer; who conduct their affairs by consultation, and spend out of what We have bestowed upon them; 38 And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves. 39 And the recompense of evil is punishment like it, but whoever forgives and amends, he shall have his reward from Allah; surely He does not love the unjust. 40 And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame]. 41 Only those who do injustice to people and commit rebellion on earth for no reason will be questioned. They will suffer a painful torment. 42 whoever is patient and forgiving, acts with great courage and resolution. 43
