Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily the tree of Zaqqum: 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like dregs of oil; it shall boil in (their) bellies, 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! 49 This is what you doubted?" 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 among gardens and springs, 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 A grace from your Lord; this is the great achievement. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 Wait (for God's decree) and they too will be waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
