Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
